Particular attention is paid to the formal coherence of the structure and hierarchical levels, the consistency and completeness of numbering and references, the consistency of the core, table of contents and, if applicable, index, as well as the citation styles in footnotes and bibliography.


Copyediting usually takes place before the manuscript goes to typesetting.
